Rhythm and Continuity
Finding the S-curves of the body, looking for continuing lines along the body and finding the rhythm that flows through the body. More importantly where the rhythm of the lines start to finish and seeing it underneath the figure's clothes. It's like what my instruct Lisa Berrett says, having a Sherlock Holmes vision of hunting and looking for those lines and identifying them...even if the drawing isn't finished, you've at least found the movements. This I think gives the drawing life. There are invisible lines through the figure that we have to find and visualizing it to give the drawing a sense of character :) I love my classes!
