A character re-design I did for my graphic novel Dreamwalker that I'm working on. I had the opportunity to work on my own character for a class assignment so I chose a character from my book! The early designs weren't so great, i realized he looked rather wimpy and I wanted him to have broader shoulders. Then I got some feedback from my instructor and said that the curvy lines in the face with the ones done in blue pencil were starting to look like what's out there right now, so I had to vary up the shapes and went for a more angular look.
So I colored this today and I really liked how the colors turned out! yay! It's a process I tell you, but once you feel happy about the design, it's quite rewarding =)xoxo
