Andy Warhol quote

I was watching a video from my Crossing Borders online class about Andy Warhol, the topic of discussion was about Modernism and Post-Modernism and how Warhol was quite the eccentric, the whole lecture went into a whole discussion about the appropriation of art and how a lot of artists now in our modern world are doing the same thing Andy Warhol did, such as Shepherd Fairy and a few other modern artists.  He appeared to be this public persona who had no personality when he appeared on camera, strange and emotionless but it was a front! His private life was indeed very private, he knew what he was doing with his art.

Something he said that I really like in the video was:

"Don’t think about making art , just get it done. Let everyone else decide whether its good or bad whether they love it or hate it. While they’re deciding, make more art."
