Vantan Tokyo NYC Fashion Week 2012

Lately I have been getting swept away in the Fashion World of New York City, it's very easy to get caught up because New York is the Fashion Capital of the world!  I've been meeting some amazing people through my Fashion Drawing Group in New York and have been going to some really fun events. Brandon Graham of Would You Rock This has been awesome at booking a bunch of illustrators from our Fashion drawing group for Fashion Week. I got lucky enough to be picked and participate watching the Vantan Tokyo Fashion Show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion week at the Lincoln Center. This was the first time that I had ever been to the Lincoln Center and it was quite majestic in architecture. It doesn't disappoint!

 I really love a lot of the designs from Vantan Tokyo, they were urban mixed with futuristic pieces, a lot of dark grays, blacks, and floral patterns. My favorite were some of the long cape jackets that went over the dresses.
